Ami has been through one massive bumpy ride since she first single debuted back in 1998. She released 4 albums and 12
singles before being 'ostrasized' by the music industry due to the lawsuit her parents filed in September of 2000, and
sadly, this was the last we'd hear of Ami until 2004, and then after that, she released nothing until her move to avex
in 2005.
I'd like to believe that her signing with avex was the best move she could have made. While I love her older releases,
her new ones are so much better than I ever thought they would be. I've been a fan of Ami's since 2000, and she also
happens to be the musician that introduced me to Japanese music as a whole. While her popularity is, in my opinion,
nowhere near where it used to be, I'd like to think that she could get back up there.
