Hitsugaya is the youngest member of Soul Society to ever be made a captain, and is often called a 'boy genious'. The closest person to him would have to be, un-arguabley, Hinamori Momo, seeing as they grew up together in Rukongai before entering Soul Society, though he entered after Hinamori did.

He's quite short, due to his age, and his white hair doesn't go unnoticed in the human world. He's one of the few Shinigami that actually carries his sword on his back, instead of at his side. He is quite the contrast to his lieutenant, as he is very serious and straight-foward when it comes to his duties.

A little bit of trivia found here: Due to his majorly unexpected popularity, Hitsugaya has been in the manga and anime more than Kubo originally intended.

Matsumoto is probably the most provocatively dressed character in all of Bleach, and even more ample than Orihime, which is pointed out several times, though usually in joking. It's unknown as to how long she's been the lieutenant of the 10th Division, but it seems that she was there before Hitsugaya was made the Captain.

Not much is known about her past, other than the fact that she was probably orphaned since birth. Her birthdate is the day that she met Ichimaru Gin, marking the day that she was no longer alone.

Matsumoto is easy-going and free-spirited, and although she may come across as self-centered, it's made quite clear throughout the series that she is nearly anything but. She's one of the greatest characters in the entire series, in my opinion. =)

Not much is known about the other members of the 10th Division. In fact, not much is known about the 10th Division, period.
